A walk on the Amalfi coast

We escaped the crazy road on the Amalfi Coast, to go walking amongst the lemon, orange and olive groves.

It took us 4 1/2 hours to walk from Minori, up to Ravello and then down to Atrani and Amalfi and back again. We felt like we were walking in the footsteps of history.

The main picture shows us on the pier at Amalfi where we had a picnic lunch. Amalfi used to be a maritime superpower with a population of 70,000. But that was before the earthquake of 1343.
