We’ve been enjoying shopping in the market area of Bologna for our dinner tomorrow
The Quadrilatero quarter is the ancient Roman heart of the city and it was full of people buying their fish for today and meat for tomorrow. Lovely atmosphere – very different to a Tesco on Christmas Eve.
Our Middle Aged Gap Year 
We have had a non-stop Christmas but I have finally found the time to read someof your blog (as a special treat!). Loved your commentary and fantastic photos and it takes me back to my gap year in my 20s when we travelled around Europe …but not for so long, or in such comfort!
