On the streets of Santiago

Left-wing politics comes with music and dancing. Much more fun than at home.

Santiago feels straight away like a city of the modern world.  Six million live here, over a third of all Chileans.

And from the number of young couples passionately kissing in the parks and the prevalence of pregnant women there will be many more soon.

We’ve spent the last day and a half walking around the main tourist area; and been so pleasantly surprised. Think New York in the Summer but with pockets of European charm such as the Lastarria district.
