We make history landing in Santiago

We have just become the fastest people in history to travel between London and Santiago.

By sheer coincidence, we took the inaugural British Airways non-stop flight in their lovely Dreamliner plane. It takes a whopping 14 hours 40 minutes and apart from a bit of turbulence – which made Hilary go very white – all was great.

With 15 flights to come on our round the world ticket this will be by far the longest.

We’ve checked into our downtown AirBnB – getting a very friendly welcome from the owner Hugo – and are about to go for a swim in the apartment block’s pool. It’s about 30 degrees and sunny here.
